MEET ERNESTO
A Commitment to the Hispanic Community
Since 2001
In 2001, Ernesto saw that more Spanish-speaking families in the area needed legal help from someone they could communicate with and feel comfortable talking to. He began learning Spanish and became more involved in the Hispanic community.
Around that time, a local newspaper featured Ernesto and his work with Hispanic clients. Even back then, he talked about how important it was for clients to be able to speak directly with their attorney and understand what was happening with their case.
More than 20 years later, that is still a big part of who we are. Ernesto and our office are proud to continue serving Spanish-speaking clients and families throughout our community.
Outside the Courtroom
Cars • Motorcycles • Anything With an Engine
When Ernesto isn’t at the office or in the courtroom, he enjoys spending his free time working on cars and riding motorcycles. He’s been interested in both for years and has always liked working with his hands, fixing things, and taking on a new project.
Cars and motorcycles give him something completely different from the day-to-day work of being an attorney. Whether he’s working on a car in the garage, figuring out what needs to be fixed next, or getting out for a ride, it’s something he genuinely enjoys.
It’s a side of Ernesto that clients may not always get to see in the office, but it’s a big part of who he is outside of work.
More Than the Courtroom
A Career Built Around Making Legal Help More Accessible
Ernesto’s career has taken him beyond the traditional law office. Along with his friend Jim Young, he co-founded BernieSez, a service created to help people looking for legal help connect with attorneys.
After years of working with BernieSez, Ernesto eventually sold the company. Today, his focus is on his law practice and the clients he serves throughout North Carolina.
BernieSez was another part of Ernesto’s career that came from something he has always cared about—making it easier for people to find the legal help they need.
